Christmas 2017

‘Tis the time to be jolly fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. And jolly it was..

We spent Christmas Eve with a cousin of T’s, they were having a little family gathering at their house. The kids and I got to meet a few family members that we hadn’t met yet, which was amazing. It’s crazy how even after years of being with this guy I still haven’t met all his family because its so big, and its the same with mine. My favorite part of the night was doing their family tradition of whic is to make a circle, say a prayer and say what we are thankful for. What makes this special that we get to hear from the youngest in the room to the eldest. And this year the little ones opened up a bit, yes I cried.

It was however short lived because a Kamilah continued to cough throughout the night and I didn’t want to have Kason out so late because he’s just getting over Bronchiolitis. So we went home got them in the shower and they went to sleep.

I woke up first and Kamilah followed short after. We layed around for a bit before calling my mom to ask her if Noah’s dad had already dropped him off, and he had so Kamilah and I waited til Kason woke up. Once he did we woke T up and we all put on our jackets and went over to my moms house. Texas has been so weird y’all but it is finally cold..which I hate.

When we got there we said hi and hugged and quickly made our way to the kitchen and got tameles and ponche because we were starving. I then went to the living room where the kids were anxiously waiting to open their presents.

My mom handed them their presents and it was game over. The expressions on their faces were priceless. It’s safe to say that they loved everything they got. And I’m happy to report that Kason got his telescope, if you follow me on Twitter then you know that was something he’s been wanting for a while now. Now he can look at the moon and stars all he wants.

After we opened gifts we cleaned and talked for a bit, before making our way to our next destination.

Our next destination was to T’s aunts house. She has been wanting to have the kids over since she moved down here. When we got there it was sea food galore! Everything looked and smelled so delicious, and it was indeed delicious. We had to give Kason chicken and spaghetti because unfortunately he’s allergic to shell fish. The kids ran around and played with one another. They were given their presents and now all three kids have bikes! Also she picked out the cutest clothes for them. She was just so sweet (Auntie)

We left her house with happy kids and full tummy’s!

Our last and final destination was home sweet home. Believe it or not we waited all day to open the presents we could’ve opened that morning.

Even tough I was beyond tired and my bed was calling my name we still continued the gift extravaganza

My heart was full by the end of the night. This day is definitely one I’ll remember because the kids were truly happy and I know they felt very special. And the look on their face was so heart warming. To spend time with family is all I wanted and that’s exactly what I got.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that you guys were just as if not more happy than I was.

Until next time
